Here's the situation... I have 2 songs with an organ connecting the 2. So it's really kinda one long song but not really... Cause they each need there own track on a cd... I spit the region at a zero crossing... or what I think was a zero crossing. I was zoomed all the way in and found an area on both waveforms (stereo file) that crossed the center and that is where I split the region from song 1 to song 2. The problem: I exported each song out of pro tools... (CMD SHIFT K), then import or add those 2 songs to iTunes. Then I burn a cd and when listening to it i get a pop right where I made my Region separate. How do you get rid of that pop? The strange thing is when I made my playlist in iTunes... I listened back before I made a CD and it didn't have a pop from song to song. It had a seem less transition.
Back when I used Saw Studio on pc I would have to find a zero crossing as well. It was a total pain, but it worked. I got no pop changing from song 1 to song 2. If anyone knows, what is the protools work around for this situation? Is there a trick? Is the problem iTunes? Would using Toast work? Any "good" advise would be great. Thanks,

I would most attribute this to iTunes. We use Toast here at the studio and as long as you set the length in between songs to be 0 sec, it will work.
That's what sucks about itunes. You lose those times between songs when you burn. You CAN specify in the preferences a user transition or crossfade but it only applies to playlists on the computer or an iPod and is not the same as actually creating a Red Book standard CD with proper transitions in Toast.

We used to have that problem as well. What we do now is use soundBlade from Sonic Studio for all of our CD mastering. You import all of your songs, either as one complete file or individual files, and simply place 'markers' in the timeline for START and END track marks. You may then burn a Ref CD, save as a JAM image or save as a DDP to send to a replication facility. soundBlade is a bit pricey, but its younger brother, PreMaster CD is much more affordable. Info at www.sonicstudio.com/
