Hey fellow PT users! Has anybody run into this problem? I have a 2005 Mac G5 PPC Dual 2.5ghz 8 gigs ram, running Tiger 10.4.9 with PT HD2. I installed Leopard 10.5.5 in order to upgrade to PT 8 HD. Now with Leopard running and using PT 7.4.2 I have some 3rd party plug-ins that freeze in a loop before audio to those plug-ins drops out, I did try to find updates/fixes on thier sites but nothing available yet. At the same time I am experiencing CPU power errors concerning plug-ins from existing sessions, and none of my Waves plug-ins show up at all! So I decided to install PT 8 anyway thinking maybe that would have a healing effect and bring everything back. Nothing changed so now I'm back with Tiger and PT 7.4 I'm told that after a couple OS upgrades my Mac needs to be put down I can't afford a new Mac at $4000.00 is there a solution? Thanks for checking this out. Patrick

I know with Waves that for PT8 you must be using version 6. Currently 10.5.6 is supported with Pro Tools 8 cs2. Im not sure of the effect the dot versions of the OS or PT will have but it may be worth the shot.
A great rule of thumb is to check the website of ALL your current plug-ins to make sure they are compatible with whatever new version of Pro Tools and the Mac OS you want to run.
In a perfect world, compatibility would not be an issue. It is far from a perfect world though.
